It has always been a tried and tested home remedy. Be it tea or warm milk with honey when your throat first feels sore, or as a natural protective shield for minor wounds. Thanks to its antibacterial, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties, honey is of great benefit in such cases. In addition to other positive properties, even people with an allergy to pollen can become desensitised if they regularly eat honey from the area.
Important: always make sure that it is pure, real honey! Such as from the Plattner Bienenhof.

Sweet mail! Did you know that queen bees are even sent by post these days? Sounds strange, doesn’t it? In our beekeeping museum you will learn how it is done and all the details. We also exhibit numerous beekeeping equipment and tools in the former stable of the Plattnerhof. On our tours you will gain exciting insights into the extraction of pollen, propolis and crystal clear honey.

Bees are of enormous importance to our ecosystem. Honey itself is valuable for our health. The Plattner Bienenhof with its museum is there to preserve the bee population and bring people closer to honey as a natural product. Here on our small hill in South Tyrol we have created an idyll for humans and bees.
